Winter Wonderland

The osprey cabin in January.

The snow has now arrived in Moray.   The ski resorts are all open for the winter sports.  Why not take a short break at Springburn and go ski ing or snow boarding at the nearest mountain resorts. The Lecht and  the Cairngorms  are both only  one hour’s drive away from Springburn log cabins.

If you decide to go the Lecht you will travel through the heart of the whisky country passing Glen Grant, Aberlour, Glen fiddoch and Macallan distilleries  to name but a few.

Going  to the Cairngorms you can pass through Forres( where you will see Ben romach distillery) and go via the Dava moor to Aviemore.

Miles of beach Closeby to Springburn

Take a 10 minute drive from Springburn to find miles of  clean, safe beach between between Burghead and Findhorn.  If it is raining you can take a forestry  walk which  runs parallel to the beach.

Short breaks at Springburn Log Cabins

Weekend and mid week breaks are now available .

If it is a relaxing holiday that you are looking for then Springburn is the place.

Dogs are most welcome at no extra cost.  The kestrel garden is now safe for children and dogs to play in with its new fence.

While out walking around Springburn you will probably catch sight of the deer, badgers or rabbits.  And no doubt Hamish the donkey, Quester the horse or Charlie the Highland cow will come over to the fence to greet you.

Horse riding can be arranged at a local riding school.

Beautiful Coastal Walk

While on holiday at Springburn why not take a 10 minute drive to Hopeman, one of Moray’s prettiest coastal villages.

From here you can take a circular walk or cycle along the old railway line to Burghead.

Once you arrive in Burghead you could take a break and enjoy a coffee at the Bothy where you can leave your dogs tied up safely in the courtyard.

Complete your return trip via the Clerkly hill where you will see panoramic views of the Moray firth.

Christmas Morning at Springburn

Merry Christms from everyone at Springburn.

Before anyone can open their presents Hamish and Quester have to be led from their stables to the big paddock to join Charlie for the day.

Charlie rceived a lovely comb from Hilary a friend of the family who used to have Highland cattle.

Hamish is now showing off his new blue and white spotty head collar.

Quester was very lucky and got electric clippers.  Will be very useful for the start of the eventing season.

And a surprise bag of carrots was left for them!

New Look for the Buzzard cabin

Because the weather has been so mild this Autumn the maintenance program for the Buzzard has begun.

All the wooden floors have been varnished throughout the cabin.

New curtains have been fitted  in each room.

All bedlinen,  towels and rugs  have been added to match the new decor.
